With Queen's Park on the verge of reopening, local Green councillor Danny Alderslowe is organising a vigil to remember Moira Jones. The service is planned for Saturday morning, 14 June, at 10am.
People are asked to meet at the Victoria Road gates, and from there a piper will lead a walk round the park, to be followed by a few words and poetry. There will also be a tree planting ceremony.

After Moira's tragic murder, the event will allow local people to "pay our respects and to initiate some community healing," Danny explained.
This local ceremony will follow a vigil in Glasgow city centre on Friday night, with people gathering at 6pm in George Square to remember victims of violence in the city.
