Before the holidays, I was speaking to Mount Florida Community Police Officer, PC Mark Patterson.

He mentioned the Community Well Being Fund that Strathclyde olice have. It's open all year round to community groups and associations who need funding. Groups can receive up to £500.00 from the police.

PC Patterson has also spoken about the fund at the monthly Mount Florida Community Council meetings in the past. He urged those groups in the community who need money to get in touch.

"We are always on the lookout for possible applicants. It's a good thing for the area and if you've got any inquiries about applying for the fund, or know of a local group that might benefit from it, please get in touch."
