Well my fears of a poor turnout couldn't have been more wrong. I recon that there had to be about 100 people who packed into the hall last night. Thanks to everyone who came especially Cllr Anne Marie Millar, Bailie Jahangir Hanif, Ann Hamilton (Glasgow Community & Safety Services), Supt Mike Dean and Sgt William Eadie. We also had Cllr David Meikle, Cllr Irfan Rabbani and Nicola Sturgeon sent along a representative.

Despite the fact that local residents have been living with these problems for years and they seem to be getting worse and worse they presented their issues in a very constructive way. As I said last night I think it speaks volumes about our City Council when departments can just point blank refuse to attend a public meeting even with 6 weeks notice.

Thanks to everyone who came along last night. It's only the start of what may be a long road but if last night is anything to go by we have a large number of determined people who won't accept our Council telling us they don't care.
