Tags
What are tags? They're just words or phrases that you can add to describe any content you add to the website. They're used to help people find things that are of interest to them.

You can see the tags for g41.org.uk on the right hand side of the website near the top. This is called a 'Tag Cloud'. The tags in bigger letters are the ones that people have used the most.

You can add more than one tag at a time, but you have to separate them with a comma. Don't use capital letters, apostrophes or other punctuation in tags.

For instance, say you've created a Story with the latest results from Hampden Bowling Club's league matches. In the Tags box you might use the tag hampden bowling club.

Now, whenever someone clicks on the tag hampden bowling club, your Story will come up.

If you use the same tag over time, it groups content together. Say the Hampden Bowling Club is having a dinner dance. You create an Event to tell people about it and tag it with hampden bowling club.

Now, when someone clicks on the tag hampden bowling club they'll see a page with both the dinner dance Event AND the latest results Story.

If you use that tag every time you create content about the club, it will all be grouped one one page on the website for people to easily find.

You can tag Blog Entries in exactly the same way.

You might notice that next to the Tags box is a box that says G41 business directory. This is for G41 administrators only. Please don't enter any tags here. If you do, we'll delete them.
