Shawbridge Demolition

I'm not staying in Glasgow right now so please excuse me if the demolition has happened already but, does anyone know when the Shawbridge flats (near the large Morrisons) will be blown up/down? A couple of weeks ago it looked like they were ready.

Would be interesting to watch.

Shawbridge demolition

The GHA haven't issued an exact date for demolition yet, but the last schedule I saw said they were due to come down in May. Will let you know as soon as we hear something at G41 - hopefully that will be before we hear the flats actually being demolished!

shawbridge st flat demolition date

hi just read your comments the flats are coming down tommorrow 20th july the roads are being closed from 6am till 4pm i live near shawbridge st and we have all been lettered with the date and stuff, sianza

Well I guess they are all down now, let's hope the whole process was safe too considering the asbestos exposure risks. I am not interested to watch just because of this safety reason. Perhaps a mesothelioma lawyer can give more information to those eager to watch demolitions, there are risks involved and people need to hear about them.
