Police have arrested a 39 year old man in connection with the the death of a 29 year old man and the alleged assault of a 42 year old man in G41.

Alan Thornton of Queens Drive, Strathbungo, died following a disturbance at the entrance to a block of flats at Dirleton Drive in Shawlands, around 0035 hours on Monday 17 March 2008.
A second man, aged 42 years, was injured during the incident and was taken to Glasgow’s Victoria Infirmary.
Mr Thornton was single and unemployed. He was originally from Aberdeen but arrived in Glasgow three years ago.
A report will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.
