The G41 community website and monthly community newspaper are produced and published by a not-for-profit Community Interest Company called Southside Media.

The website is designed to give people living in G41 the chance to make the news for themselves. We want you to tell us what's important to you.

You can create your own blog to tell people about your life and thoughts about the community. You can post news articles telling people about events or stories that have happened. You can upload photos or videos. You can get in touch with staff at Southside Media to give them tip-offs about stories. You can start off discussions in the G41 Forum.

And once you've added content to the website, it can be commented on by other users - and you can comment on what they've added.

The idea is to help you get to know your neighbours and get more active in the community.

The G41 newspaper is published on the third Friday of every month. It costs 50p and is available in nearly every newsagent in G41, as well as many local churches and community outlets. If you can't find a copy, please drop us a line.

Unlike most big media companies, where profits go to shareholders, all the money we raise in sales and advertising is used to support the work we do for the community and to invest in making it better. For example, when we started publication we had just four pages of colour. Now G41 is full colour throughout.
